GuKen publishes machining notes for low-expansion alloys

We’ve started publishing the process notes our engineers actually use — starting with how to machine Invar 36 without dimensional drift. Written for design engineers and sourcing managers who need to know what a supplier’s process capability really means, not marketing copy.

Upcoming topics: designing PEEK parts that survive machining, surface-finish callouts that make sense (and ones that cost you money), and how to read a CMM report before approving a supplier.

Low-expansion alloy line strengthened: dedicated Invar 36 & Kovar process cells

Over the past months we have consolidated our Invar 36 and Kovar work into dedicated process cells, with machining parameters for low-expansion alloys collected into a formal process library — cutting speeds, tool geometries, stress-relief annealing points and thermal-soak times documented per material and per feature type.

What this means for buyers: repeatable dimensional stability on Invar 36 and Kovar parts, shorter process development for new part families, and quotation answers from engineers who machine these alloys every week — not once a quarter.

One-hour RFQ response is now standard for export customers

Fast, precise answers are part of the machining service — so we made it a written commitment: RFQs received during business hours (GMT+8) get an engineer’s response within one hour, with DFM feedback and a firm quotation typically within 24 hours.

Export orders ship with English documentation by default: FAI dimensional report against GD&T, mill test certificate (EN 10204 3.1), and packing photos. No chasing, no translation gaps.
