Case Studies
Representative projects. Customer names are withheld under NDA — the process data is real.
Metrology frame for inspection equipment
Challenge: A European metrology-equipment maker needed Invar 36 frames with flatness < 0.01 mm over 300 mm — their previous supplier’s parts drifted after delivery.
Our process: Roughing → stress-relief anneal → re-datum → light finishing → 20 °C soak → ZEISS CMM verification of all datum structures.
Result: Lot of 25 frames, flatness held at 0.008 mm, requalification passed on first submission. Now on annual release schedule.
Hermetic RF package bases
Challenge: US-based RF component customer needed Kovar (ASTM F15) package bases with sealing surfaces ready for nickel plating and glass sealing — prior supplier’s finish caused seal rejects.
Our process: Wire EDM profiling for burr-free edges, controlled-edge break with plating thickness in mind, stress relief before finish machining.
Result: Batch of 500 bases, seal-process yield at customer improved, plating scrap eliminated. 12 working days from PO to shipment.
Medical sensor housings, Ti-6Al-4V
Challenge: A medical-device developer needed prototype-to-production housings in Ti-6Al-4V with full traceability, evolving the design across three revisions.
Our process: DFM feedback on each revision, controlled-heat turning for thin walls, full CMM report per revision, material certs archived per lot.
Result: Three design revisions in eight weeks with no tolerance escapes; production release at 200 pcs/month.
